Intaglio Drypoint Workshop with Lacia Vogel

Lacia Vogel (MFA University of Regina, BFA UBC Okanagan) is a printmaker who works primarily in screen printing and intaglio. Having been to residencies all over the world, she brings a diverse and particular eye to her practice. In this workshop, Lacia will teach intaglio, focused on the drypoint technique. This type of etching creates softer, more drawerly line work, and is several hundred years old. Using copper plates, ink, and our gorgeous press, you'll turn ordinary paper into a fantastic edition. Just bring your self, a sketchbook, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

If you want to know more about the drypoint technique, this website has a fantastic little essay with imagery.
